Judd Weinberg, the president of Gottlieb for many years, gives a speech, and Pingame Journal is there. |
Afterwards, Judd is inducted into Expo's Hall of Fame. |
Speaking of Gottlieb, here's a couple of classics. |
It doesn't get any better though, than a Gottlieb card themed woodrail pin, with roto targets. |
To the left of "Royal Flush," was "Straight Flush," another Gottlieb card themed woodrail pin... |
...also with roto targets. |
Rick Stetta, world pinball champ, and first place winner of the main tournament at Pinball Fantasy in July, 2006, was also at Pinball Expo this year.
|
This guy came all the way from Tokyo to attend Pinball Expo. |
Also at Expo was the design team behind Bally's last dot matrix game, "Cactus Canyon." |
Check out this "Medieval Madness" pinball cake somebody made. It says "What Santa does at our house on Christmas Eve. (Please don't eat!)" |
Steve Kordek gets ready for his seminar. |
Steve gave an informative seminar about the history of Genco. |
Steve Ritchie began designing games for Atari in the early days of solid state pins. He also designed many pins for Williams, and continues to design pins for Stern. Steve Kordek was a pioneer of electromechanical pins, not only for Genco, but also for Williams. Sadly, he passed away in 2012, just a couple months after his 100th birthday. |
The lineup comes together for pics of all the legends of the industry in one place. Norm Clark, designer of many pins at Williams, and also, I think was the president of operations for Bally in the 70's, is seated to the right of Steve Kordek. Norm passed away a few years ago. |
In the back row, 4th from the right, is Dennis Nordman, who designed all three "Elvira" pins, the lesser known classic, "Party Animal," and many others. |
Oops, almost forgot Fred! |
