Yep, this was a big crane. Lying on it's back, it took up floor space from the back basement door to the side basement door. |
All the bulbs were missing, and maybe more. |
Duct tape is never a good sign. The top pulls off in order to load the toys, which wasn't going to work with the low ceiling in my basement, however, I saw a Sonic Skill Crane on Ebay recently which showed a lock on the front glass, something that could have helped here. That crane also had a joystick controller in the middle and a button to the left and right. |
The fluorescent lights didn't work either. What's missing here is the grill that covers the bulbs. Some other parts might be missing too.
|
A shot of the control panel, which is very basic: forward, sideways, and a mystery button on the right that was not marked, either not used or something missing? |
This sucker has very big wheels, which actually made it more difficult when I was attempting to get the crane upright in my basement.
|
Many cranes I've seen for sale have the latch where you can put a padlock in place, and there's a lock underneath too. |
Boy, was I glad to see that crane gone. "The Claw" takes much less space, as you can see. It retails for around $30, but a few bucks spent at Dollar Tree can get you a couple bags of gum, some mini candy bars, and why not throw in some plastic spider rings to make things challenging;) |
