The York Show 2008

Classic Pinball had this Gottlieb 1971 "Dimension" pin for sale.

Dimension is the add-a-ball version of "2001," but with less than 500 made, it's definitely rare.  "Dimension" and "2001" both feature ten drop targets on the left and right side of the playfield.

Another rare pin at the show was this 1988 Gottlieb "Robo-War."  Notice there are no people in the artwork.

The only other show I saw this pin at was Hershey Gameroom Expo 2004.

One of my favorite solid state pins of all time is definitely Bally's 1978 "Lost World." This was I think the second Bally solid state pin I played on location at 7-11. The first one was Freedom, which had replaced the EM version at 7-11.

When I was at Pinball Expo 2006, I spoke with Paul Faris.  He did confirm that's him and his wife on the backglass.  Also, when he did the art work for Data East's 1990 "Back To The Future" pin, Michael J. Fox wouldn't give permission for his likeness to be used, so Paul Faris's son is the person seen on the pin instead.

The playfield on this game isn't quite purple, like other Lost World playfields. Either some fading or perhaps an early factory sample pin?

Greg Freres did the art work for this 1980 Bally "Skateball" pin.

Groovy artwork, man. Check out the cool van on the lower right side of the backglass, and yeah, the babe too:)

Click on the pic of the playfield for a better view.  It's surfing, it's skateboarding, it's both.

Notice the Bally coin door sticker.  It's got the likeness of a Susan B. Anthony one dollar coin.  Commonly mistaken for a quarter, it's the coin you love to hate, but at 5 games for $1, I know I used them.

Another Greg Freres pin at the show this year was Bally's 1986 "Lady Luck."  There were only 500 of these made in the US.  However, there were some made in Germany under the name "Bally Wulff."  A picture on the Internet Pinball Database shows the German version of this game has a silver coin door.  Otherwise the German version is identical to the US version.

Nice artwork.
