The 8th ANNUAL WHITE ROSE GAMEROOM SHOW

Friday, October 8th - Saturday, October 9th, 2004

York, PA Fairgrounds

This year I had no 15 ft rental truck, breaking a 2 yr tradition. I took my Honda Accord to the show with the intention of trading some NOS parts and Pingame Journals from various years for various parts I needed. So, the deal was to come back home with some pin parts, maybe a playfield to hang on the wall, yeah right:)

I took my usual two Wal-greens 35 mm cameras, my Sony Digital Mavica, and as an addition, my Sony 8 mm hi-fi camcorder. I left my house with the car loaded up at 3:10 am, Wednesday morning. I stayed at The York Show all day Thursday, Friday, and left Saturday around 4 pm.

The show once again took place in the Horticulture Hall, with quite an assortment of games. including a really nice Bally "Fathom" pin and a rare Gottlieb "Operation Thunder" pin. An article in the local paper on Friday, mentioned there would be around 150 games at the show, almost twice as many as last year.

It was around 9:30 am Thursday morning, with a couple hours to go before show setup, so I ended up catching a few pre show things, including Snoopy on steroids.

Located around the corner from "Best Western," this golf course opened in 2001, and closed in 2006.

I didn't do it.

Too bad I don't play golf.

I arrived at the fairgrounds around 10:15, I think. If you get lost here, this always helps.

Here's a rare Bally "Six Sticks," the first six player pin, produced years before "The Six Million Dollar Man," another Bally title, which I had previously thought was the first six player pin. Needless to say, this game sold fast.

This 1980 Williams "Blackout" was the giveaway game this year.

Eric, one of the show organizers, arrived just before noon.

There were videogames at the show.

There were also pins based on videogames.

There were also slot machines for sale at the show.

Here's a closer look.

Here's one example of how to fill a vehicle with parts.

Here's another.
